  • Around Illinois Back Roads: This weeklong bicycle tour takes you to some of Illinois' best scenery and provides definitive proof Illinois is not flat.
  • Atlantic Canada Cycling: This organization offers camping tours in the Canadian provinces of Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland, and it also offers cycling information about the province of New Brunswick.
  • BicyclingWorld.com: A definitive guide to bike tours for all ages and abilities. Search the world's largest collection of road and mountain bike tours and find the trip of a lifetime.
  • Bicycle Illinois: A weeklong ride from Cairo to Chicago.
  • Bike Florida: A seven-day bicycle tour through Florida that will celebrate its 10th anniversary in 2003 and was named a Best Biking in America event by the League of American Bicyclists.
  • Bike Virginia: This multiday tour covers the prettiest sections of Virginia. This site also has links to other multiday trips in Virginia.
  • Biking Across Kansas: This weeklong trip actually has three routes that run at the same time.
  • The Bon Ton Roulet: A 7-day ride of more than 300 miles through the Finger Lakes Region of New York.
  • BRAG: The Bicycle Ride Across Georgia draws about 2,000 cyclists every year.
  • Bubba's Pampered Pedalers: Longtime cycling friend Bubba Barron has started a business designed to make it easier for people who go on camping trips like these. Cyclists can look forward to having a tent and an air matress ready when they arrive in camp each night.
  • BubbaFest: Bubba's annual tour of the Florida Keys.
  • Cycle Across Missouri: The Gateway Council of Hostelling International sponsors Cycle Across Missouri (CAM), a weeklong trip through Missouri. It is the successor to the Cycle Across Missouri Parks ride.
  • Cycle America: A company that leads a series of rides across America and other rides such as Pedal the Peaks and national park tours.
  • Cycle Canada: This Canadian company leads the 4,600-mile Tour du Canada from Vancouver, British Columbia, to St. John's, Newfoundland. In addition, it does longer camping tours, including Tour Great Lakes and the Old Dominion Tour.
  • Cycle Louisiana Main Street: Cyclists can get in all the sights, sounds and tastes of Louisiana on this weeklong ride.
  • Cycle North Carolina: This weeklong tour from the Blue Ridge Mountains to the Atlantic Ocean is held in October.
  • Cycle Oregon: This ride definitely will challenge you with its terrain, but the organizers say you will be well-rewarded with good food and great entertainment.
  • Cycle South Carolina: A weeklong tour through the Southern state.
  • Cycle Zydeco: A four-day ride through Cajun country in Louisiana that promises great cycling and great food.
  • DALMAC: The Dick Allen Lansing to Mackinac tour starts in Lansing and climaxes with a ride across the five-mile long Mackinac Bridge. There are five- and four-day options, and the brave souls can do century rides on four consecutive days.
  • Florida Bicycle Safari: This springtime ride has three- and six-day options, and friends of mine who have done this ride say the food is really good!
  • GABA: The Great Arizona Bicycle Adventure often goes from the Grand Canyon to Nogales, on the Mexican border, but the route can change from year to year.
  • GRABAAWR and SAGBRAW: The Great Annual Bicycle Adventure Along the Wisconsin River and Sprocket’s Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Wisconsin are the two largest weeklong rides in Wisconsin.
  • Grand Illinois Trail and Parks ride: This weeklong ride, which made its debut in 2003, takes advantage of the Grand Illinois Trail and other rural roads in Northern Illinois.
  • Great Ohio Bicycle Adventure: This weeklong trip draws up to 3,000 cyclists annually.
  • Hilly Hundred: This a two-day ride in the beautiful — and hilly — region surrounding Bloomington, Ind. About 5,000 people take part in the annual mid-October ride. Routes of 30 and 50 miles per day are available.
  • Horsey Hundred: A two-day ride in the rolling horse farm country near Lexington, Ky. Routes range from 30-100 miles. Accommodations in air-conditioned college dorms are available.
  • Illinois Great River Ride: A new weeklong, 400-mile tour along the Rock and Mississippi rivers in Illinois.
  • In Motion Events: This northeastern U.S. group offers trips such as the Adirondacks and Finger Lakes bicycles tours. Can-Am Wheelers, which operates MOOSA and the Nova Scotia Lighthouse Tour, is associated with this group.
  • Katy Trail Bicycle Ride: A five-day, four-night ride on America's longest developed rail-trail sponsored by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources.
  • Martha's Miles: A five-day bicycle ride from St. Louis to Chicago to raise money for the National Children’s Cancer Society.
  • MOOSA: Maine's Original Outstanding Super Adventure normally goes through the mountains of Maine to Quebec. You also can learn more about the Lighthouse Tour, a weeklong trip through Nova Scotia, at this site.
  • Moose Tour: A multiday ride in Maine. The ride is taking a hiatus in 2006, but it will resume in 2007.
  • Oklahoma FreeWheel: An organized, weeklong cross-state trip through Oklahoma.
  • Padre's Pedal Inn: A friend of Bubba Barron has created a similar service for people on multiday bicycle tours in which his crew sets up tents and provides refreshments for customers.
  • POWWOW Bicycle Tours: This company offers several multiday tours in Wisconsin.
  • RAGBRAI: This seven-day ride is the granddaddy of all the cross-state rides.
  • Ride the Rockies: This annual ride sponsored by the Denver Post hits many of the high spots of the Rocky Mountains. It's important to apply early because registration is done on a lottery basis.
  • Sierra to the Sea: A challenging eight-day, 420-mile tour of northern California that starts in the Sierra Nevada Mountains and finishes in San Francisco.
  • TRIRI: The Bloomington Bicycle Club has two versions of this ride, one in June and one in September.
  • West Shoreline Tour: This ride goes along the western shoreline of Michigan. The League of Michigan Bicyclists also sponsors the MUP Tour, which travels through the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, and the Bow-Tie Tour, which touches three of the Great Lakes.
  • XOBA: Another weeklong camping trip in Ohio.
